Western Soccer Alliance/League

Updated: November 23rd, 2013

The WSA didn't actually start until 1986, when three of the four teams from the Western Alliance Challenge series decided to form a league, with the Victoria Vistas being replaced by the Edmonton Brickmen.

In 1990, the WSA merged with the struggling ASL v3.0 to form the American Professional Soccer League, which eventually became the A-League.
